Our talented VFX students are taking their skills to the big screen! Through StudioX, the premier #VFX program in the School of Animation & Visual Effects (ANM), they contributed to the sci-fi feature film Omni Loop, gaining invaluable hands-on experience by creating high-quality visual effects under industry standards. Not only did the project push their creative and technical abilities but also gave them real film credits—an impressive step toward launching their careers. This semester, our 3rd-year Architecture students are participating in the movement to revitalize Oakland’s historic 16th Street Railway Station. Partnering with local nonprofits, they are bringing design concepts to life, while gathering community input to shape the station's future. At a recent community meeting, our students presented hands-on activities they designed to better understand the community’s dreams for the station’s restoration.
