We spent a cozy Friday morning in Bishop Alumni Center on the Statesboro Campus with former Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal listening to stories that inspired his brand new children's book, "Veto, The Governor's Cat." Told through the eyes of Gov. Deal's real cat, Veto, the book explores various experiences that many children may go through, and pays homage to his late wife, Sandra Dunagan Deal.

Congratulations to senior mechanical engineering major, Cole Hayne ! 🎉 He earned third place in the prestigious International American Society of Mechanical Engineers POWER2024 Student Paper Competition held earlier this semester. As an undergraduate competing against students at higher academic levels including six Ph.D. candidates, Hayne's performance stood out in the global event.
