Dann, the founder of Sonlife, was both humbled and thrilled to be named Moody’s 2024 Alumnus of the Year. “It’s probably the greatest honor I think I could ever receive because of my deep respect and love of Moody.” 💙 “We always had the saying in Sonlife and then Sonlife Ministries that we wanted our lives and ministries to be so supernatural that when people look at us they will say without a doubt, ‘God has done that!’ He then gets all the glory! A time to reflect and celebrate... 🎉🎉 Today as a Moody community we had a special dedication service for the formal renaming of Fitzwater Hall to “The Bethune-Fitzwater Educational Building. 💙 🏫 Members of our Moody Jazz Band with alumnus Roy Patterson led worship, and Moody's Gospel Choir shared special music. We heard reflections from Dr. Neely, Dr. Cloutier and Dr. Jobe on the life of Dr. Fitzwater for whom the building has been named since 1962, as well as Moody alumna Mary McLeod Bethune. Her name has been added to the name of the educational building after a resolution by our Trustees for her mission spirit, courage, and leadership. Her service as an educator had a profound and enduring national and Kingdom impact.

His legacy is marked by a deep love for his family, the Church, and the transformative power of the Gospel. Memories in the making… 🎉✨☺️🎡🙌🍔🍉🤝🎯🙏 Reminiscing about all the fun and fellowship shared at our week-long Employee Appreciation Week held earlier this summer on our Chicago campus. Each day had a different appreciation focus (appreciating your peers, leaders, different departments/teams and unsung heroes) and fun theme days including sports and twinning. With daily opportunities to write cards and share with colleagues why we’re thankful for one another, we were able to live out the calling in Ephesians 5 to give thanks for God for all things and live in unity of the Spirit. The week culminated in a shared worship time and message from our president, capped off with an employee picnic and indoor Plazapalooza with carnival prizes and double dutch fun! 🎉🎉
