Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend IFT FIRST in Chicago for the first time! I presented my research “Cellulose based materials obtained from spent coffee grounds as functional bipolymers” as a poster and in the food packaging division graduate oral competition, where I received 3rd place! I also had the chance to network with industry professionals and other students/finalists as well, further enhancing my experience at IFT FIRST (congratulations and nice meeting you Aaron Dudley, Ph.D. ). Thank you to Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) , Department of Food Science and Technology at Oregon State University , and Oregon State University for this experience!
