🇲🇾 This week, we had the honour to host a delegation from #Malaysia – namely, the representatives of Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Johor Port Authority (LPJ) and EDM Global Tech . The delegation was led by Ts. Norzie Hasnira Ramlan – Marine Manager from LPJ – and Capt. Akashah Md Dom – General Manager and Harbour Master of PTP. ✅ During their stay in Tallinn, our Suveillance Systems team carried out the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the radio communication system upgrade for the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) at PTP. The FAT was successfully completed, with the protocol signed at the end of the visit. 📡 In addition to the FAT, our team showcased its activities, and provided insights into the development of Cybernetica's radio communication system, #VTMS and radio positioning system. The discussion covered how these systems can be used in a port environment, their benefits, and the potential for integration with other systems, both existing and new. Demos and discussions also explored future developments, such as #AI integration into #VTMIS , which sparked interest in enhancing port operations. 🌟 Cybernetica remains committed to delivering cutting-edge, technologically advanced solutions that ensure the safety of navigation, improve the efficiency of port operations, and protect the surrounding environment, while continuing to stay ahead of technological trends. 👏 This visit further underscores the strong, long-term partnership between Cybernetica and our Malaysian partners, focused on #innovation and operational excellence in port management. 🌟 We are proud to announce that Cybernetica has been chosen by Eurostat to develop a multi-party secure Computing-as-a-Service platform for handling confidential data across countries and organisations. This innovative project, and a major milestone for Cybernetica, is set to revolutionise the European Statistical System by integrating advanced privacy-enhancing technologies. 🔒 We will build on our extensive expertise in security and privacy technologies, with the aim of protecting data confidentiality while enabling cross-border collaboration. 🌟 We are excited to announce the Federated Secure Computing project, a collaborative research initiative that enables cancer patient data analysis across European borders without sharing any actual data. Using advanced cryptographic techniques, specifically secure multiparty computation, this project ensures end-to-end privacy and data security. 🏥 Led by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München , Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS , and Cybernetica, the project has received the Stifterverband Innovation Prize for its pioneering approach. Key benefits include improved understanding of risk factors and the development of targeted therapies, particularly for adrenal gland tumour patients undergoing advanced radiotherapy. This is a significant step forward in precision medicine, enhancing both survival rates and quality of life. 👇 The project was supported by a specialist law firm, ensuring robust compliance with data protection laws. As Hendrik Ballhausen of LMU Munich notes, this model is a new frontier for privacy-preserving collaboration and aims to revolutionise data-driven healthcare research across Europe.

✅ We are excited to announce the completion of a comprehensive roadmap for the modernisation of one of Estonia's most important #tax systems – the Register of Taxable Persons. The project was completed in collaboration with Maksu- ja Tolliamet / Estonian Tax and Customs Board (ETCB), RmIT and EY . ☁️ This project sets the stage for a more flexible, efficient, and future-proof tax system. The roadmap includes detailed diagnostics, architectural analyses, and a business plan that will guide the transition to a modular and cloud-based architecture, streamlining services for both taxpayers and state institutions. 💬 As Alvar Pihlapuu , Head of ETCB's Development Department, noted: “Our plan is to start implementing the roadmap immediately. This is an important step in transitioning ETCB’s information systems to a #cloud environment, enabling greater flexibility, scalability, and location-independent operation.” 👇 Learn more about the completed roadmap below!

💬 Recently, our Legal Analyst Paula Etti participated at the Data Science Seminar organised by University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science . The seminar focused on #AI use-cases, dissecting both success stories, as well as lessons learned. 💡 Paula’s keynote was all about utilising #syntheticdata in AI systems, since it plays a crucial role in AI solutions in two main ways: to train, validate and test AI systems, as well as to produce the synthetic data.
