We're #hiring a new Rolling Stock Process Engineer. Job Summary The Rolling Stock Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving the production processes of rolling stock, ensuring that all vehicles are manufactured to the highest quality and safety standards. This role involves collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize processes, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products. Key Responsibilities: - Process Design & Improvement: - Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for rolling stock production. - Continuously assess and optimize existing processes to improve productivity, quality, and safety. - Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production issues. - Manage engineering projects related to the production of rolling stock, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth project execution. - Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. - Provide technical support to the production team, resolving any engineering issues that arise during the manufacturing process. - Assist in the design and development of new rolling stock products, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to industry standards. - Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. - Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. - Participate in quality assurance activities, including inspections, testing, and audits. - Implement and maintain best practices for workplace safety in the manufacturing environment. - Prepare detailed reports on process performance, including metrics related to efficiency, quality, and safety. - Maintain accurate records of process changes, test results, and production data. - Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a similar engineering role, preferably in the rolling stock or automotive industry. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to rolling stock. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. Desirable Skills: - Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. - Familiarity with railway industry standards (e.g., EN, UIC). - Experience with ERP systems and process automation.
