They will strengthen the backbone of our mobility system by setting many targets, including: 

🚆a minimum speed for trains of 160km/h;

✈️ an obligation to connect major airports with long-distance rail; 
📦 more rail freight to meet the current demand

Every year, more than 7,000 people become victims of human trafficking in the EU. A human tragedy exploited for ruthless profit.  
 
Today, the revised 🇪🇺 Anti-Trafficking Directive enters into force, with stronger rules to prevent and combat this crime, such as:  
 
⛓️‍💥 providing stronger tools for public authorities to investigate and prosecute new forms of exploitations,  
⛓️‍💥 common procedures among the EU countries to address emerging issues, 
⛓️‍💥 better support to victims and stricter criminalisation.  
 
Human trafficking is a crime against humanity. 
There is no place for it in our Union.  
It is high time we end it.
