In the past few weeks we've seen several instances of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) poisoning. The cases we worked on can be divided into two categories. The first one was very targeted, where the search was related to services provided by one of our clients. The second one was less targeted to a specific person/organization, but aimed at people searching for specific tools or programs. In both scenarios, search engines displayed ads leading to malicious websites. For the first group, users were presented with a fake login screen, leading to credential theft. For the second group, the downloaded tools or programs contained backdoors, activating command and control (C&C) beacons on the victim's device. Often, after the fake login or download, users were redirected to the legitimate site. Whenever you look for something on Google or any other search engine, make sure to validate the authenticity of the search results and be careful with downloads!

Last weekend we faced the "The Devil's Challenge". 😈 Our colleagues in Belgium walked 66.6 km along the Belgian coastline, all for a charity reason!🚶♀️➡️🏃♂️➡️ In the Munich office, we kept it a little lighter by walking 6.66 km through the English Garden. Our colleagues in Greece also joined the challenge, covering 15 km along the Athens Riviera. Movember is all about raising awareness and funds for some of the biggest health challenges faced by men, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues, and suicide prevention.
