Last night we danced the night away with friends from the fashion industry at the Drapers Awards 2024. Even after 20 years of sponsoring the awards, it still feels magical to be in a room with fashion’s movers and shakers each year. Congratulations to all the winners.

Last weekend, we held the Annual Torque 5-a-side footy Cup. With ten teams in the mix, there was plenty of action on the pitch and loads of support from the sidelines. A big shoutout to the Wigan team for taking home the top spot! More than just a competition, it was a great day out with loads of laughs, friendly rivalry, and a brilliant way to bring everyone together.

Earlier this month, we hosted our bi-annual Insight Day, where managers from across Torque came together for a day packed with updates, collaboration, and a whole lot of fun! We shared exciting business growth news, dove into innovative projects, and topped it off with a digital scavenger hunt in sunny Leeds (cartwheels and karaoke included!). September’s Reliable Top Torque Teammate of the Month is Carl Keegan. Carl works at our Wakefield site looking after recycling & disposal, and his passion for his work, reliability and conscientiousness has earned him the nominations of his colleagues. Torque has teamed up with Homeless Hampers, a West Yorkshire organisation that supports people experiencing homelessness and those in poverty by providing essential supplies and advice. Read more here https://lnkd.in/efP8m-BQ Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting our usual on-site fun-raising events and supporting the charity more directly via volunteering. Team Torque has been asking for opportunities to be more hands-on with our community partners, and Homeless Hampers has projects that allow our team to do just that.

A whopping £19,919 was fundraised over 2023 and 2024 for #ANDYSMANCLUB and Community Defibrillators. The amount will be split between each initiative.
