ICYMI: Ground-breaking work from Professor Kohji Nishida's team at Osaka University in using iPS cell-derived cell sheets to treat Limbal stem cell deficiency published this week! 👁 Results from their first-in-human clinical trial showed no serious adverse events in the 4 patients treated, and improvement in vision in 3 of the treated patients after one year. 👁 We are very excited to see this progress and validation for the safety of iPS cell-based therapies in treatment of severe eye diseases, like LSCD. These therapies truly have the capability to change patients lives in the future!
