COSPAR is an interdisciplinary scientific organization established by the International Science Council (ISC), dedicated to promoting international cooperation in space research. It serves as a premier forum for the presentation of space science research, fostering collaboration, and providing guidance on scientific and technical standards related to space exploration. COSPAR also plays a significant role in advising intergovernmental organizations on space research matters and in capacity building to support the adoption of space science by developing countries and new space-faring nations.

Founded in 1961, the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES) is the government agency responsible for shaping and implementing France’s space policy in Europe.
