Google DeepMind is a British-American artificial intelligence research laboratory and subsidiary of Google. It was founded in 2010 and acquired by Google in 2014. DeepMind is focused on building the next generation of AI systems safely and responsibly, with the mission to benefit humanity. They have achieved significant breakthroughs in AI, including creating neural network models that learn to play video games like humans, developing AlphaGo which defeated a Go world champion, and advancing protein folding with AlphaFold.
