Two months after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ukrainian province of Zhytomyr, Gov. Eric Holcomb again met with Zhytomyr Gov. Vitaliy Bunechko, this time in Indianapolis. Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg and representatives from the IEDC joined the discussions with leaders from industry and academia. Supported by READI 2.0 funds, this project marks a major milestone in Hendricks County’s comprehensive regional nature park plan. 🌟 Governor Holcomb's READI program—now a $1.25 billion initiative—has driven transformative projects across Indiana. READI 2.0 adds $500 million to further accelerate these efforts, enhancing quality of life for Hoosiers. 🌿 Echo Hollow Nature Park combines outdoor, commercial, industrial and residential growth. Earlier this month, IEDC's VP of Venture Finance Ryan Locke spoke at the opening ceremony of STATION Ai in Japan's Aichi Prefecture. Station Ai in Nagoya is one of the largest startup support centers in the world. The State of Indiana counts Japan as its largest source of foreign direct investment. Indiana is home to over 300 Japanese companies, including over 70 from Aichi Prefecture. Indiana and Aichi Prefecture have had a Memorandum of Understanding encompassing economic, educational and cultural exchanges since 2017. The entrepreneurs that will be born in Aichi Prefecture's new facility are welcome in Indiana as we continue to strengthen our partnership.
