✨ Celebrating the Spirit of the Season at 52North - creators of Neutrocheck®. As the year draws to a close, we come together not just as colleagues, but as friends at 52North. Our annual holiday party was filled with laughter, great food, bad Christmas-cracker jokes 😂, and the warmth of camaraderie that defines our incredible team.

This year has been a testament to the resilience, creativity, and dedication of each member of the 52North team. Together, we've faced challenges head-on and celebrated milestones like winning the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Award's MedTech 2023 Company of the Year, and being selected for programs at the The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator and the Texas Medical Center Innovation, and having become the first-ever funded venture company in the 112-year history of Macmillan Cancer Support!🙌 

These triumphs make us stronger as a team, but it is truly our mission to improve the healthcare journey for patients around the world that motivates us to succeed. A special shout-out to Aislinn O'Farrell who worked to organize this event, ensuring it reflected the spirit of unity and appreciation that defines our company culture.

The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator programme has been game-changing for 52North - creators of Neutrocheck® on so many levels.
 
One really exciting development is our new collaboration with the state-of-the-art Tatonetti Lab. Prof Nicholas Tatonetti is Vice Chair of Operations in the Department of Computational Biomedicine and Associate Director of Computational Oncology in the Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai . With buy-in from oncologists across Cedars-Sinai, and amazingly rich patient-level data from the hospital, we are kicking off a collaboration to develop and validate cutting-edge risk prediction models for cancer patients at risk of treatment-related complications, such as neutropenic sepsis.

Yesterday, Cancer Research UK (CRUK)  published a detailed manifesto for the UK on Cancer Research and Care. "Working together, we can turn the tide on cancer.... will require concerted, long-term action by governments, political leaders, health services, universities, charities, industry and the public."
