The Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC) is a non-profit, member led organisation established in 2009 which strives to promote the standards and developments of sustainable buildings in Hong Kong.

The HKGBC aims to raise green building awareness by engaging the public, the industry and the government, and to develop practical solutions for Hong Kong’s unique, subtropical built environment of high-rise, high density urban area, leading Hong Kong to become a world’s exemplar of green building development.

In collaboration with businesses, NGOs, social enterprises and the Environmental Protection Department, Link REIT has curated a series of engaging content to bring the knowledge and science behind this important concept to the general public.

[🌱🏢 HKGBC Green Visit to Link Sustainability Lab]
 
The HKGBC had a fantastic visit to the Link Sustainability Lab (https://lnkd.in/gKtXQCKr) on 23 Jul 2024 – a dynamic space dedicated to promoting sustainability and inspiring positive change, which is powered by the HKGBC’s Gold Patron Member, Link Asset Management Limited (Link REIT).
 
Its latest theme, "Loop to Last - Unveiling the Circular Economy" was a real eye-opener. It was exciting to learn how technology is driving circular practices focused on resource efficiency, waste reduction, and regenerative solutions. Seeing firsthand how products and materials could be cycled back into the system was truly inspiring. The lab also showcased innovative nature-based solutions to tackle ecological challenges. With its interactive exhibits, games, and video streaming, the experience was both informative and engaging.
 
The HKGBC is dedicated to advocating for eco-friendly building design and practices as always. Let's think beyond convention and create buildings and the community that harmonise with nature, for a greener, more circular future! 🌿🌍
