Last week, our Co-founder Ankur Bansal joined industry veterans Anuradha Ramachandran of TVS Capital Funds, Vikram Gupta of IvyCap Ventures Advisors Private Limited, and Aakarsh Naidu at The Fintech Mixer: Mumbai, organised by Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH) and ICICI Bank. The panel discussion, "Fundraising for Fintechs" explored the evolving fintech ecosystem, investment trends, and the industry's future.
India's fintech landscape has witnessed remarkable growth, with over 20 unicorns and 30 soonicorns expected in the coming years, backed by strong support from the VC ecosystem. The discussion highlighted the pivotal role of fintech in driving financial inclusivity, expanding reach, and accessibility, which is crucial for digital development in a country like India.
Anuradha Ramachandran, Managing Partner @TVS Capital, emphasised the importance of evaluating fintech startups based on key factors, including disruptive business models, scalability, integration of constant technological enhancement, and regulatory risk mitigation. 
Ankur Bansal shared insights on the growing seriousness of compliance, driven by RBI and SEBI's stricter norms and regulations. He emphasised that financial institutions cannot operate without discipline and that the scaling of the fintech sector has just begun from a size perspective, offering high risk-adjusted returns for investors. Ankur also highlighted the positive impact of fintech-bank partnerships in facilitating widespread fintech adoption.

🌏 Protecting the environment is crucial for sustaining life on our planet. It is our collective responsibility to make conscious choices and take meaningful actions to reduce our environmental impact. So, this #WorldEnvironmentDay (5th June), we reinforced our commitment to sustainability through thoughtful initiatives as part of our environmental drive.🌼

♻We conducted a #SustainableLivingWorkshop to empower our employees with eco-friendly practices for daily life. Our recent employee survey revealed that 67% of the participants perceived eco-friendly brands as costly. We are grateful to climapreneur Chaitsi Ahuja of Brown Living, which promotes sustainable lifestyle, and her team for conducting an informative and practical workshop showing us affordable ways to embrace an Earth-friendly lifestyle. 

♻ We organised an #ElectronicWasteCollectionDrive in our office to raise awareness about responsible e-waste disposal and recycle. 52% of our survey participants felt there is a lack of e-waste recycling awareness, while 39% expressed a desire to dispose their e-waste responsibly. This drive provided a convenient solution for our employees to do just that. We tied-up with a vendor, certified by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, for the collection and proper disposal and treatment of the e-waste which included old phones, ipads, laptops, drives, chargers, batteries etc. from our employees and their family and friends. 

At our company, we believe in leading by example. These initiatives engaged our employees in environmental action while addressing their concerns highlighted in the internal survey. We remain committed to promoting sustainability within our workforce and beyond, one step at a time.💚
