Drop-Synergizing Desalination using Distillation and Membrane Filtration Technologies prototype developed by the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) The Drop Desalination Project is a portable water purification system that combines distillation and membrane filtration to turn seawater into usable water for drinking, construction, or industrial purposes. Utilizing an automated setup with sensors and microcontrollers, the system analyzes and treats seawater to meet specific Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and quality requirements for each application. Users request water through a web platform, and the system adjusts its filtration and purification stages accordingly, ensuring efficient water recovery with real-time quality monitoring. The project’s portability and automated processing make it a versatile solution for diverse water needs in various locations.
