NIIF India, or the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund, is a fund manager that invests in infrastructure and related sectors in India. It was set up by the Government of India with the aim of maximizing economic impact through infrastructure investment in commercially viable projects, both greenfield and brownfield. NIIF India operates with a focus on strategic and commercial investments, and it partners with international investors to facilitate foreign capital inflow into India's infrastructure sector.

NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited (“NIIF IFL”) is an infrastructure debt fund(IDF), that provides long term refinancing solutions to operational infrastructure projects that has completed at least one year of satisfactory commercial operations.

The company was created on March 7, 2014, as a new infrastructure financing entity under the NBFC format, as per the RBI guidelines in the name of IDFC Infra Debt fund Limited. The Reserve Bank of India granted Certificate of Registration to NIIF IFL on September 22, 2014, permitting the company to carry on the business of IDF-NBFC. The company changed its name from IDFC Infra Debt Fund Limited to IDFC Infrastructure Finance Limited with effect from January 10, 2017. 

In March 2019 National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) Fund II acquired majority equity stake in the company, thereafter name of the Company was changed to NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited to reflect the change in ownership.
