Anonybit (led by Frances Zelazny, Yaron Azizi and Shaked Vax), a company specializing in decentralized biometric authentication and data protection, has recently raised an additional $3 million in funding, bringing its total raised to $8 million. The round was led by JAM FINTOP and included contributions from Connecticut Innovations and 4S Bay Partners LLC, the single family office of Jessica and Steve Sarowitz.

Catamaran, the single family office of Narayana Murthy, plans to increase its AUM to over $2bn over the next two years. Venture capital investments should be rather targeted on growth and later stage companies. Catamaran is led by Deepak Padaki.

MRE Capital, the single family office of David Williams, acquired event services firm Curated Events from Dubin Clark & Company, Inc. MRE is focused on investments in the private equity ("MRE Partners") and real estate sector ("MRE Properties"). The transaction shows the important role family offices play on the US private equity market today. MRE is led by David Williams, Bart Shaeffer and Jon Schwartz.

An increasing number of European single family offices is active in the renewable energy field, mainly backing solar and wind park developers and acquiring turnkey projects. As of July 5th, 2023, 69 European single family offices are mentioning renewables on their websites. 

One example is the Belgian single family office AtlasInvest, which stems from the oil and gas sector. However, the family office led by Marcel Van Poecke and Joost Dröge, is now a major investor in the renewables field, especially through Aukera Energy. The technology-agnostic renewables investor and developer is led by Catalin B. and Pascal Emsens. Also Arvantis Group and Wirtgen Invest Holding GmbH are notable investors in the European renewables field. Wirtgen Invest, for instance, is building up a notable portfolio of solar and wind plants. In December 2022, ABO Wind announced the construction of a 50MW turnkey solar park in Greece for the Wirtgen family office.
