Great to receive growth factors from our friends at Future Fields as part of our automated biomanufacturing Canada-Innovate UK grant.   It has never made sense to us that growth factors are added to cell culture, sporadically, in large excess.  I mean, we understand why.  Humans don't tend to want to do media changes at 2 am.  But science, in the case of cells, really does not sleep.  However, neither do Emmet and Marty.  Who can helpfully perform temperature-controlled media/growth factor exchanges automatically whenever you want.  Helping scientists get some well-needed rest, designing better experiments, mirroring more closely physiologically operating biological systems, and then seamlessly scaling straight to production too. Exciting new research from Sorbonne Université shows IL-2 has potential therapeutic potential for multiple sclerosis! 🙌

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that attacks nerve myelin of the brain and spine. 🧠 Studies found that providing low doses of IL-2 activated regulatory T cells reduced the activity of multiple sclerosis disease.

Our Sustainability Committee hosted a team ABC (Appliances 📻, Boredom Busters 📚, Clothing 👗) Swap event to promote a circular economy and eco-friendly values in an engaging way.

We exchanged useful gadgets and toys, picked up new books, and gave new life to formerly loved garments—any remaining items are being saved for donation.
