We’ve recently added Digest Auth to the list of authorization types in Hoppscotch 👽! Digest Auth provides an extra layer of security over Basic Auth by encrypting user credentials before they’re sent over the network 🔐. Let’s take a look: New Authorization method - Digest Auth 🔐 Introducing a brand new Authorization type in Hoppscotch app that pairs perfectly with Hoppscotch Agent. Digest Auth lets you verify your identity without sending plain text passwords over the network. Just register your application with the Hoppscotch Agent, enter your credentials in the Authorization menu, and you’re good to go! Query Parameter Encoding 🛡 We’ve reorganized our settings page for easier navigation and added a feature to encode query parameters, ensuring accurate interpretation during request transmission. Support for CA and Client Certificates 📄 CA and Client Certificate support is now available! Configure and use these directly with the Hoppscotch Agent as an interceptor. Check our documentation for details. 2️⃣ Increased Collection Import Limit: We've raised the collection import limit to 50MB for Hoppscotch Self-Hosted Editions to support larger workflows. 3️⃣ Alternate PORT Configuration for AIO Container: The new HOPP_AIO_ALTERNATE_PORT variable allows you to specify an alternate port for the AIO container when subpath access mode is enabled, addressing potential issues with privileged ports. 4️⃣ Horizontal Scaling with Redis: Enterprise users can now use the HORIZONTAL_SCALING variable to manage pub-sub and state across instances for scaling Hoppscotch Backend horizontally.
