As a pioneering research institution and our key technical staff's alma mater, Carnegie Mellon University has held a special place in MangoBoost's heart ever since the company's inception.

Today, we're thrilled to announce the investment of the Carnegie Mellon University Investment Office in MangoBoost and welcome Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering James Hoe as a full-time Fellow.

An IEEE Fellow, Professor Hoe is renowned for his research in advanced computer architecture and reconfigurable computing. His expertise will be instrumental in advancing MangoBoost DPUs to the next level.

“I am excited to work on MangoBoost Data Processing Units. The computer applications of today would have been inconceivable to me 40 years ago, but the computer systems we run them on still resemble 1980s PCs. The emergence of Data Processing Units is the tipping point in our thinking to begin to more basically re-architect computer systems to match today’s data-centric, network-driven, power-constrained computing modality,” said Professor Hoe.
