𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬' 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 As an open-source contributor at stdlib , I’ve implemented two new functions: 𝐜𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 and 𝐳𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥, designed to fill strided arrays with complex numbers. - 𝐜𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 fills single-precision complex floating-point arrays with a specified scalar constant. - 𝐳𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 fills double-precision complex floating-point arrays with a specified scalar constant. Both functions support specifying 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 and 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐞𝐭 for arrays, enabling precise control over which elements are filled. What's particularly exciting is that these JavaScript functions are implemented with their 𝐂 𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐬, utilizing 𝐍𝐨𝐝𝐞.𝐣𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐬. This bridges the gap between high-level JavaScript and low-level C, offering optimal performance for numerical computations in JavaScript. These additions are part of a broader effort at 𝐒𝐭𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐛.𝐣𝐬, where some exciting work is being done on 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐒. The goal is to equip JavaScript developers with fast and efficient tools for scientific and numerical computing, enabling better performance for mathematical operations. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡-𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀 My latest contribution is the implementation of a 𝗺𝗮𝗽 function for 𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀. This function enables developers to apply a callback to each element of an input 𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆 and assign the results to an output 𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆. It’s similar to the JavaScript 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆.𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲.𝗺𝗮𝗽 but specifically designed to efficiently handle data manipulation for Multidimensional arrays. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? - The function works with 𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀 of any shape and strides. - Supports 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 memory layouts. - Supports an optional 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗔𝗿𝗴 parameter, allowing you to specify the callback function execution context. - Handles both 𝗿𝗼𝘄-𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 formats.
