💡 “You are our most valuable investor”. Coming from a successful second-time founder starting a new round this week, these words are worth a lot. It is somewhat counterintuitive, too, because as a boutique, light-touch fund, Verras Capital LP rarely has the biggest check and never actually aims to be “the most” valuable investor. We adhere though to those five principles in communicating with our founders: 

💲 Respecting Founders' Time: We’re extremely conscious of a founder's time. We only schedule meetings when there's a specific topic to discuss or a challenge to tackle. No unnecessary check-ins!
💲 Always Asking: How Can We Help? Every interaction with a founder starts or ends with this question. It's our way of ensuring we're always focused on providing tangible support.
💲 Valuable Introductions: We make a lot (and we mean a lot!) of meaningful introductions to other founders with relevant experience, industry experts, and potential investors. We only make introductions when we see a clear benefit for both parties. So far, dozens of business relationships and investments have blossomed from these connections.
