“EDPR NA’s collaboration with Stem assured the energy storage system would be optimally configured to supply an end-to-end solution to Mohave Electric Cooperative, Inc in our first project together," said Gustavo Gomes Monteiro, CEO of EDPR NA Distributed Generation in this recent article by Solar Power World.

Athena, Stem’s AI-driven clean energy optimization software, will operate the project's energy storage system. Strategically integrated with renewable energy resources and MEC’s grid control systems, Athena will help the co-op deliver reliable, clean electricity to its members. MEC will use Athena to operate and monitor the storage system 24/7, schedule dispatches and dispatch on command into high-demand time periods. In addition, MEC will use Stem’s PowerTrack solar management application within Athena for AI-driven solar forecasting and advanced modeling to help streamline solar optimization for added value for MEC and its members.

EDPR NA Distributed Generation has launched a 23 MW solar + 60 MWh storage project for Mohave Electric Cooperative, Inc! This project will provide renewable power, reduce peak energy usage, and stabilize energy costs for MEC's members. Stem, Inc. is proud to collaborate and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Stem, Inc. today announced the company’s key role in the development and recent completion of the first community battery energy storage site in the Bronx, New York City. The site is owned and operated by NineDot Energy®, a leading developer of community-scale clean energy projects backed by global investment firm Carlyle. NineDot’s first Bronx site features a 3 megawatt (MW)/12 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storage system, a solar canopy, and infrastructure ready for bi-directional electric vehicle chargers. Stem’s AI-driven Athena ® platform is co-optimizing multiple value streams, including New York’s Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program incentives. For NineDot Energy, this Bronx site is a model for developing future urban clean energy projects and supports the company’s goal of strengthening the local power grid and providing stable, reliable, and resilient power to tens of thousands of New York City households and businesses.
