The company was formerly known as All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and changed its name to ANA Holdings Inc. in April 2013. This is Tejima from the Engine Component & Supply Chain Department at the ANA Engineering & Maintenance Center🛠️
Airplanes are equipped with numerous devices, including radio communication equipment and cockpit instruments📡
I specifically work on maintaining equipment related to the power supply system.
Today, I'd like to share two of my favorite ways to enjoy being on board an aircraft✨

The first way is to just simply enjoy the sounds of the aircraft equipment at work!
When starting the engines on Boeing 767 or 777 aircraft, compressed air is used to initiate the engine's rotation. However, on the Boeing 787, electricity is used instead⚡
The equipment I work on generates a high-pitched whirring sound as it produces the necessary power to start the engines🌀
When I'm on a Boeing 787, after pushback, I listen for that familiar high-pitched sound when the engines start to turn, and it makes me feel like a proud parent knowing that the equipment I worked on is doing it's best☺️

The second way is to listen to the ANA Rakugo program👂
Within the in-flight entertainment options, there's a channel where you can listen to traditional Japanese comic storytelling in Japanese, like Rakugo and Kodan.
When I'm on board, I enjoy listening to the ANA Rakugo program, discovering new favorite stories and performers🎶
I particularly enjoy heartwarming stories, and my favorite ones are "Shibahama" and "Bunshichi Mottoi."

Of course, I also love watching the latest movies and gazing out the window, but I highly recommend the ANA Rakugo program😁

I am Fukui from the Base Maintenance Department of the ANA Engineering & Maintenance Center😊

Aircraft maintenance is broadly divided into four categories: base maintenance, line maintenance, engine maintenance, and component maintenance✈
Since joining the company in 2017, I was part of the Line Maintenance Department, which involves the maintenance of operating flights at the airport. However, since April of this year, I was moved to the Base Maintenance Department, which involves large-scale periodic inspections in the hangar🧑‍🔧🧰

Currently, I am working with the aircraft in the hangar while also taking on controller duties for base maintenance tasks💪
