Azur Air first flight arrived at #BIAsrilanka today morning with 332 passengers and the flight was welcomed with a celebratory water cannon salute organized by the AASL upon arrival at BIA, followed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance. Azur Air will be operating 05 flights per week from 5 cities in Russia, Vnukovo, Tolmachevo, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg & Sochi. #SriLankaAirports #BIAsrilanka

Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Signed a Contract Agreement for Amendment of ongoing Design and Post Design Consultancy Services for BIADP Phase II Stage 2 Project. Contract Agreement for Amendment No.03 of ongoing Design and Post Design Consultancy Services for Bandaranaike International Airport Development Project Phase II Stage 2 Project was signed between Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and Joint Venture of Japan Airport Consultants, Inc. & Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. on 01.11.2024. The Bandaranaike International Airport Development Project Phase II Stage 2 is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the procurement process is ongoing to commence the construction work of the balance scope of the Passenger Terminal Building and Associated Works under Bandaranaike International Airport Development Project Phase II Stage 2. Air Chief Marshal (Rtd) Harsha Abeywickrema, Chairman, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Mr. Kenji Murayama, Director and Managing Executive Officer, Japan Airport Consultants, Inc., Mr. Kenichi Furubayashi, General Manager, Nippon Koei Co., Ltd., Eng. Asitha Karunaratne, Head of Projects, AASL, and other officers attended the contract signing event.

The inaugural charter flight Enter Air from Poland to Sri Lanka operated by Green Holiday Travels in collaboration with Rainbow Holidays, Poland, arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport today, November 1, 2024, at 10.30 a.m. Enter Air (EN T1561) flight from Warsaw with 187 international tourists was ceremonially welcomed with a Kandyan dancing performance, and Sri Lanka Tourism organized gift packs for travelers. There will be a flight every 10 days to Colombo from Warsaw up to the end of March 2024. Enter Air is the largest private airline operating in Poland.
