Lithuanian Business Angels Network

LitBAN's objective is to foster business angel activity through communication, events, networking, syndication of deals both locally and across Europe.
 
The association’s key directions of activity: 
1. Networking & start-up deal flow facilitation via monthly events
2. Private investor interest representation through a consistent dialogue with public officials and 
    governmental institutions
3. Sharing of tools, legal frameworks and knowledge for the purpose of attracting new angel investors.

What a great Saturday it was! LitBAN community gathered in Palanga for LitBAN Open 2024 - tennis and padel tournament 🎾 
The day was full of joy, laugh, games, talks, new connections and networking! Our members brought their spouses, kids, friends and even a dog. 

Thanks for the attendees, congrats for the winners and we're waiting for the upcoming LitBAN hike to strengthen our ties and community of 350+ business angels even more!

Today we had very interesting and  informative Business Angels breakfast with Apolinaras Sinkevicius who shared his knowledge and experience about attracting US Venture investments. It doesn't seem an easy process, but we hope that this session made it a bit clearer and indicated what to expect.

What a great session we had yesterday at GLL Summer Fest 2024!:
🇱🇹 Rūta Grėskaitė presented Lithuanian startup ecosystem;
💰 Apolinaras Sinkevicius, Martynas Kandzeras, Rita Sakus, Rūta Grėskaitė and Monika Da Silva Xavier discussed what are the key reasons for the diaspora to invest in Lithuania.
🌍 More than 50 session participants presented their insights and ideas how to increase investment from the Lithuanian diaspora into Lithuania and how to attract talented individuals and startups from the Lithuanian diaspora to return and co-develop in Lithuania.

We have a bunch of great ideas and can start thinking about implementing them.

The whole session was moderated by LitBAN Board member Gytenis Galkis.

At our monthly Pitch event yesterday we had 2 guest speakers, who shared their knowledge and insights:
Laima Balčiūnė, Director @ Sunrise Tech Park, presented the Cleantech potential in Lithuania and disclosed some of the most interesting findings of the newest Cleantech Baltics report.
Our special guest - Zachariah George, Managing Partner @ Launch Africa Ventures - presented exponential growth opportunities in African private capital markets.

We also had 6 startups (from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland) pitching on stage. One of those even brought their remarkable product - amphibios camper-trike!
