VentureTECH is principally an investment company established by the Government of Malaysia in 2009 with the national mandate to encourage the participation of local Malaysian companies in high value-added and high technology industries, a key mainstay that will drive Malaysia into a sustainable high-growth economy.

VentureTECH assumes a catalytic role to assist with the transformation of the nation’s economic development trajectory by advancing the capability of local technology-based companies in targeted growth areas of bio-based, green and emerging industries with an aim to provide new opportunities for growth to generate socio-economic benefits to the country and Rakyat. This is achieved by collaborating with key ministries, lead development agencies, and financial institutions.

VentureTECH was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT).

Automation has deep roots in the automotive world. Before most other industries explored automation as a solution, automakers were already using industrial robots in their assembly plants to increase productivity and efficiency.

The pandemic has resulted in increased adoption of automation by other industries, as it has been proven to reduce the reliance on human labour (depending on the level of automation), without taking away from humans the final say in QA and compliance management. 

In light of this labour shortage news, industry players now have more reasons to intensify their current automation level, by either applying it throughout the manufacturing process, growing its role in back-office maintenance or to some extent powering the cars of the future.   

Because automation is deemed essential in keeping automotive companies competitive today, especially when the economy is still navigating its way out of the pandemic and has the potential to boost the industry in Malaysia, VentureTECH will continue to support and grow companies in the automation and robotic market segment, as it is currently doing with TXMR SDN BHD.

Community Outreach with an IMPACT!
 
The tripartite CSR between VentureTECH, Acme Chemicals (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Majlis Agama Islam dan adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPS) aims to not just supply water, but to supply clean water to those communities in need. According to the crown princess of Perlis, Puteri Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah bt Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, the clean and treated water supply will be able to provide basic needs to the local community who are faced with water supply issue which includes clean water and low pressure.

Under the stewardship of Tengku Mohd Farid Tengku Hassim, TXMR has overcome obstacles and challenges to secure its place as a major EPCC player in the industrial automation field. By enabling IR4.0 and driving the transformation of the local industry, TXMR offers mechatronic design & engineering solutions for automation and robotics systems.
 
Beyond the unveiling of the first CKD unit of Porsche AG's Cayenne, the milestone encapsulates several other significant achievements for Malaysia's automotive sector.
 
Firstly, Sime Darby’s plant in Kulim, Kedah is Porsche’s first assembly facility located outside of Europe which will position Malaysia as a hub for the international market.
 
Secondly, the facility is fully staffed with local talents who have been trained by Porsche. Moreover, the production is also supported by a network of local suppliers and service providers, exemplifying Malaysia’s capabilities and intense technical know-how.
 
Thirdly, the recognition from a global player such as Porsche, demonstrates our local industry players’ strength and resilience in weathering through the challenges presented by the worldwide pandemic, which has rendered almost all economic activities around the world paralyzed. Being entrusted by a respected company like Porsche will not only send a strong message that our local companies’ capabilities are undoubtedly at par with their global counterparts, it will also put them on the map and open doors to international markets.
 
In light of this achievement, VentureTECH will continue to render support to grow local companies in the automation and robotic market segment.

Food waste is a growing problem in many other parts of the world — and it is only expected to get worse in the coming years as the world population is expected to grow to 9.7 billion by 2050, alongside global food demand. 

Specifically in Malaysia, this problem is about to be exacerbated in the upcoming fasting month of Ramadhan where food waste issue will likely dominate the spotlight.

Food waste comes with its own set of issues, including greenhouse gas emissions, unpleasant odours, pests and toxic fluids that can infiltrate water sources. 

Efforts are now focusing on developing new technologies that use food waste to generate clean energy.

Enters biomass gasification, a process that feeds semi-dry food waste into a unit that looks a bit like a cooking pot, where it passes through a hot, bubbling substance that converts it to fuel gas. This process, known as fluidization is very efficient at converting food waste into high-valuable sources of energy-rich synthesis gas, a mixture of hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, also called syngas. Syngas can be used to generate heat and power. This process is sustainable because is considered to be carbon-neutral.

Malaysia attracted a record amount of approved investments worth RM306.5 billion in the manufacturing, services and primary sectors in 2021, driven by higher foreign direct investment and increased projects in the manufacturing and the electrical and electronics sectors, according to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA). 

MIDA said that Malaysia’s FDI of RM208.6 billion accounted for 68.1% of total approved investments, with the remaining 31.9% coming from domestic direct investment at RM97.9 billion.
