The company's Fuel Specialties segment offers a range of specialty chemical products that are used as additives in various fuels. This segment's products are used in the operation of automotive, marine, and aviation engines; power station generators; and heating oil. Its Performance Chemicals segment provides technology-based solutions for its customers' processes or products that focuses on the personal care, home care, agrochemical, and metal extraction markets. The company's Oilfield Services segment develops and markets chemical solutions for fracturing, stimulation, and completion operations; and products for oil and gas production, as well as products to prevent loss of mud in drilling operations. It sells its products primarily to oil and gas exploration and production companies, oil refineries, fuel manufacturers and users, personal care and home care companies, formulators of agrochemical and metal extraction formulations, and other chemical and industrial companies. The company was formerly known as Octel Corp. and changed its name to Innospec Inc. in January 2006. Innospec Inc. was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado.

Supporting our local communities through education, fundraising and volunteering is one of Innospec’s a core values. In 2023, our Innospec Cares program once again demonstrated our commitment to this by supporting the charitable organizations that are close to our employees’ hearts. 

Together we raised $199,205 throughout the year, with 102 employee applications approved across 21 Innospec locations. In addition, 240 employees took advantage of our volunteering day program, providing 1,054 hours of hands on support in our local communities. 

In total, our Innospec Cares program has helped support 100 charities in 2023. Now let’s see what we can achieve for 2024!

Their mission is to ensure no child goes without a present at Christmas. Our team at our St Mihiel manufacturing site in France took part in a race to raise funds for Aremig, a childhood cancer foundation striving to enhance hospital environments for children and their families. Meanwhile, sixteen employees from our Ellesmere Port site in the UK ran a half marathon to raise funds for Dementia UK.

Our commitments to minimizing our impact on the environment and to supporting our local communities are essential elements of our ESG strategy. Employees from our Oilfield Services, US manufacturing sites combined both by using their Innospec Cares volunteering day to support 'OKC Beautiful' and 'Keep Midland Beautiful', organizations that clean up community areas and restore biodiversity. They planted trees and removed vegetation to enhance the local environment. In addition, for every 1 million lbs of chemical manufactured at our Midland and OKC sites, a donation is also made to these organizations to purchase trees, helping to care for the local environment now and in the future.
