Results from two studies evaluating briquilimab as a conditioning agent for stem cell transplant were presented at the American Society of Hematology 2023 annual meeting. Read a summary of the results presented here: https://lnkd.in/gJ4GFQGU

Fascinating paper which concluded: A large proportion of CSU patients treated with H1AH-based therapies had uncontrolled disease, contributing to increased HRU and patient burden. Non-responders had more comorbidities and HRU at baseline and follow-up, with steep increases in follow-up hospitalizations relative to baseline, highlighting an urgent need for early disease control.

CSU affects 40 million people worldwide, and around 60% need an option beyond standard-of-care antihistamines, according to Novartis.  As a clinician, it is exciting to see potential new medicines coming into clinic for patients with high unaddressed needs.
