The company was formerly known as ASOthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and changed its name to Stoke Therapeutics, Inc. in May 2016. I'm elated to share that our manuscript titled “Antisense Oligonucleotide STK-002 Increases OPA1 in Retina and Improves Mitochondrial Function in Autosomal Dominant Optic Atrophy Cells” was recently accepted for publication in Nucleic Acid Therapeutics and is now available online! https://lnkd.in/etXWiw4t This study presents preclinical data that support the progression of STK-002 towards the clinic as the first potential disease-modifying treatment for autosomal dominant optic atrophy (ADOA), an inherited disease that often leads to blindness and currently has no treatment. A heartfelt thank you to my amazing colleagues and mentors at Stoke Therapeutics who contributed their time, expertise, and passion to this project. Your dedication and collaboration were invaluable and made this accomplishment possible.
