it was an ambitious project: securing hundreds of applications hosted both on-premises and on AWS. GROWMARK, Inc.'s objective was also to reduce its attack surface and improve the user experience.

Growmark chose Zscaler to carry out this project. Several solutions have been deployed:

● Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange, a platform that uses AI to verify the identity and context of each request, determine the destination, assess risks and enforce policies before establishing a secure connection. 🔎

● Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), an SSE solution that provides a secure, cloud-native web gateway that blocks advanced attacks and prevents #data loss to ensure reliable and protected Internet access.

● Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), which provides fast and secure access to all users, regardless of where they work, providing an alternative to traditional VPNs.

These solutions now allow 98% of Growmark employees to work remotely, safely while reducing the administrative burden for IT teams. Since their implementation, the company has been able to accelerate its #cloud and mobile strategy, ensuring security and reliability of its critical systems.

I had the honor of sharing a keynote address with Dr. Kelly Fletcher, the CIO of the U.S. Department of State, Luis Coronado Jr, CIO of State Consular Affairs, and Eric Hysen, CIO and Chief AI officer for the Department of Homeland Security at Zscaler’s Public Sector Summit in Washington, D.C., where 700 government and industry IT leaders gathered to discuss the adoption of zero trust architecture. The event focused on the transformation to better protect government employees, our nation, and citizens. AI's role in cybersecurity was a prominent topic, exploring its impact on cyber incidents and defense strategies.

   - A recurring theme among the CIOs and CISOs present was the importance of user experience in enhancing security and the pivotal role that users play in IT modernization and the adoption of Zero Trust architecture, particularly in the age of AI.
