Here is some fresh and important news for companies or people in the Atlassian ecosystem who are into data migrations!!🚨

Significant updates have been implemented to enhance the security and reliability of data migrations in Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) and Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA).

▪️Here’s what is happening:

- Atlassian is upgrading from SHA1 and MD5 encryption to the more robust SHA256 standard. 

What that means is that you should upgrade your Cloud Migration Assistants (CMAs) to the latest versions that support SHA256 as soon as possible❗️

By February 1, 2025, and onward: Support for older CMA versions (JCMA 1.11.12 and below, CCMA 3.10.0 and below) will be discontinued. Attempting migrations with outdated versions will result in migration failure.

▪️That leaves us less than 8 months to get this upgrade done!! Well glad you’re hearing this from me, so you update your CMAs before the deadline to avoid any disruption in your migration processes.
