Single- and dual-view X-ray systems lack useful automated explosive detection algorithms, and the image quality limits a screener’s ability to visually see and identify threats without divestiture of electronics and liquids. 

Recognizing the need to improve security and passenger experience at the checkpoint, IDSS was founded in 2012 by a team of experienced security professionals who built and deployed thousands of security scanners in the post-9/11 environment.

We are proud to partner with AGS Airports to deploy our industry-leading technology at Aberdeen International Airport . Together our teams were able to achieve the goal of introducing CT scanners for passenger checkpoints ahead of the deadline given by the UK. These scanners will enhance security as well as improve the traveling experience for customers by allowing them to keep laptops and liquids in their bags.

IDSS is glad to partner with DHS Science and Technology Directorate to support the evolution of a fused algorithm to further assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection Opioid Detection efforts. The project is a System of Systems approach to leveraging technology to improve overall detection rates. The IDSS DETECT 1000 CT imaging and detection data is “fused” with the HALO X-ray Technologies Ltd HXT264 X-ray diffraction data to develop an algorithm for improved overall opioid automated detection. The DETECT 1000 allows the seamless exchange of information between the two systems showing the power of its Open Architecture.
