Exciting news for hydrogen transport in the Netherlands!

The subsidy for hydrogen vehicles (SWiM) has officially been announced, presenting a great opportunity for transport companies based in the Netherlands.

We are pleased to inform you that both the QLI FCEV and the QHM FCEV are eligible for this subsidy.

Are you purchasing one or more hydrogen vehicles or opting for retrofitting? Then 80% of your costs are eligible for a subsidy, up to €300,000 subsidy per hydrogen vehicle. The maximum is €4 million per application. For new vehicles you will receive a subsidy on the difference between purchasing a fossil vehicle and an H2 vehicle, with a retrofit you will receive a subsidy for the conversion costs.

For the construction or expansion and/or upgrade of a hydrogen filling station for heavy road transport, you can receive a maximum of 40% of the costs that are eligible for a subsidy. The maximum is €2 million per application.

This initiative presents a significant opportunity for logistics companies and fleet operators to transition to hydrogen trucks or vans. Each proposal must include a hydrogen filling station and multiple hydrogen trucks or vans, fostering collaboration within a consortium. Registration for the new SWiM subsidy scheme is open to consortia from July 15 to September 6, 2024.

QUANTRON is prepared to participate as an OEM within these consortiums, offering both light and heavy-duty FCEVs.

The SWiM program allows for annual subsidy applications on hydrogen commercial vehicles until 2028, providing a reliable pathway to greener transport with guaranteed nearby hydrogen filling stations.
