Vanaf vandaag heeft Nederland een nieuw kabinet! Een nieuw begin, waarmee ook een einde komt aan onze prettige samenwerking met Micky Adriaansens als minister van Economische Zaken & Klimaat. Intensieve jaren waarin de minister zich sterk maakte voor het toekomstig verdienvermogen van Nederland, duurzame innovatie en ondernemerschap én de erkenning van de kracht van regionale ontwikkeling. Ook grote dank voor Rob Jetten, minister van Energie en Klimaat, en zijn bijdrage aan de energietransitie en de totstandkoming van de smart energy hubs in het bijzonder.

In 2023 hebben de negen regionale ontwikkelingsmaatschappijen verenigd in ROM-Nederland opnieuw duizenden startups, scale-ups en innovatieve mkb-ondernemingen een boost gegeven met financiële en inhoudelijke ondersteuning.

· ROM Utrecht Region - Nordsol: Bio-LNG van de hoogste kwaliteit en met de laagste CO₂-uitstoot.

De resultaten van de 9 ROM's zijn deze week bekend gemaakt in aanwezigheid van Jacco Vonhof van MKB-Nederland en Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau van Techleap.

Vanavond zijn op de High Tech Campus Eindhoven de winnaars bekendgemaakt van de tiende uitreiking van de Gerard & Anton Awards: de jaarlijkse verkiezing van de tien meest kansrijke start-ups in de regio Brainport Eindhoven. Deze naar de oprichters van Philips vernoemde prijs is bestemd voor de meest veelbelovende startups uit de regio Brainport Eindhoven.

Winnaars van harte gefeliciteerd en heel veel succes gewenst voor de toekomst. Leuk om ook een aantal BOM—portfoliobedrijven (met sterretje) terug te zien.

De afgelopen week maakten studenten uit Vietnam kennis met de meest innovatieve regio in Nederland: Brabant. Dit bezoek, aangeboden door de ambassade in Vietnam en georganiseerd door de BOM (Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij), bood hen een unieke blik in onze innovatieve regio. De samenwerking tussen Nederland en Vietnam biedt veel kansen en deze trip draagt bij aan de kennisuitwisseling van beide landen. 
 
In 2023 leidde Brigit van Dijk - van de Reijt, CEO van de BOM, een succesvolle ondernemersreis naar Vietnam, waar de groeiende hightech sector veel potentieel voor samenwerking toont. Tijdens deze reis heeft de ambassade in Vietnam een prijsvraag uitgeschreven voor studenten die deelnamen aan de High Tech University Challenge. De winnende studenten, met hun CO2-reducerende app "Greenie", wonnen een studiereis naar de Brainport regio in Brabant.
