There it is! Watch this short documentary video (8 min) and follow our creative journey of the last two years in which a collaboration of DROPSTUFF MEDIA , Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid and Stadsmuseum Tilburg created the immersive audio experience, Fiera del Suono. Filmmaker Ard van der veldt followed the whole process; concept, design, iterations and realization from scratch till the end presentation that took place at Koelhuis Eindhoven during the Dutch Design Week 2024. Fiera del Suono is realized as part of research and innovation programs Innovatielabs and Cultuurloket DigitALL . Within the Innovatielabs program projects are continuously developed in a process of presenting, evaluating and further developping. Cultuurloket DigitALL supports cultural institutions to strengthen contact with the public through digital technology. We are very grateful for their support. Are you visiting the Dutch Design Week ? Our immersive audio experience ‘Fiera del Suono’ will be on show at Koelhuis Eindhoven . In the main hall of the Koelhuis you are greeted by large, colorful abstract carnival attractions. A fortune teller takes you on a time journey from a crystal ball and lets you experience how the fair was a breeding ground of creativity and innovation for centuries. October 19-27, daily 11-18, free entry Fiera del Suono is a project by DROPSTUFF MEDIA , Beeld & Geluid , Stadsmuseum Tilburg and student groups from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and Fontys Tilburg University of the Arts. This project takes place in the context of two national development programs: Cultuurloket DigitALL and Innovatielabs of the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie and CLICKNL . In both programs, parties from the cultural and creative sector investigate current issues that have impact on the sector. An essential part is that projects are continuously developed for two years in an iterative process of design, presentation, evaluation and further development. Een jaar geleden zijn we vanuit DROPSTUFF MEDIA gestart als programma-regisseur van LAB Mediaplein Hilversum , een initiatief van Beeld & Geluid , Bibliotheek en Volksuniversiteit Hilversum en Museum Hilversum . Inmiddels reist de Mediaplein MOBIEL al een half jaar door de Hilversumse wijken en zijn er al ruim 1600 kijkdozen gemaakt op basisscholen en in de bibliotheek waarin jongeren verhalen vertellen over hun stad met hun eigen foto’s, tekeningen, stemgeluid en gebruikmakend van bewegend beeld uit de collectie van Beeld & Geluid. Deze kijkdozen komen tot leven in de MOBIEL. ZOET! is op BigArt! - Welkom in onze snoepwinkel! Van welke smaak hou jij? Aardbei, druif, banaan, appel of perzik? Wist je dat kleur, meer nog dan smaak, het meest essentiële onderdeel van snoep is? Wij serveren nationale kleuren, politieke kleuren, commerciële, militaire en lichaamskleuren. Suiker zorgt ervoor dat de hersenen dopamine vrijgeven. Dopamine is een stof die je een geluksgevoel geeft. Al snel ontstaat er behoefte aan nog meer suiker. De jaarlijkse wereldconsumptie van suiker bedraagt bijna 120 miljoen ton en de productie ervan is gekoppeld aan een geschiedenis van imperialistische politiek, commerciële winsten en uitbuiting, militaire conflicten en racisme. ZOET! is een remake van een installatie uit 2004 van mediakunstenaar René van Engelenburg (1977) BigArtnl is t/m zondag te bezoeken in het voormalige Slotervaart ziekenhuis in Amsterdam.

🎮 Time to make some games! This week, over 60 students will participate in the second EPIC-WE Game Jam at Sound & Vision. In just a couple of days, the students will develop their own games centered around two topics: Media & Democracy and Media & Social Injustice. Media plays a profound role in shaping our everyday lives, influencing how we think and how we act. The themes of this game jam will challenge students to consider how media can reflect and influence democratic processes and address societal inequalities. In their games, participants can use their creativity and also take inspiration from the museum and a master class that will be given to them on the topics.
