Sjors van Ruiten has been the creative developer of maritime technology for the largest seagoing vessels for 40 years. He started in 1983 as an electronics developer of alarm systems for the shipping and petrochemical industries. And in 40 years, he has worked his way up to become the owner/major shareholder of Praxis Automation Technology : a world leader in #navigation , #shipautomation and #electricpropulsion for #superyachts , #navalfrigates and #containerships . Together with his team, he makes alarm and control systems for seagoing vessels (the Mini-, Maxi- and Mega-Guard). Praxis developed his own #DynamicPositioningSystem #DP1 , #DP2 and #DP3 , and for a number of years now, the company has also been focusing on #sustainable shipping, with the development of the 2.5 Megawatt Project. Benjamin van Dam is appointed as Managing Director at Praxis Automation Technology B.V. - Terry F. van Velzen van Velzen to retire. After having managed Praxis Automation Technology for the last 5 years, Terry van Velzen will retire on 31st January 2024. Benjamin van Dam, who is currently the Sales Director of Praxis, will succeed Terry as Managing Director on February 1st 2024. Benjamin van Dam has a strong background in the maritime sector. He has 15 years of experience within the organization, which gives him a solid start as new managing director of Praxis Automation.
