Precise and reliable detection of minimal residual disease (MRD) is essential for assessing disease status in hematological malignancies. Droplet Digital PCR technology has demonstrated high utility for sensitive molecular MRD analysis in oncology research. In this study, researchers compared qPCR to ddPCR technology for MRD detection at multiple time points in acute lymphoblastic leukemia samples. Though the two methods showed high concordance, ddPCR demonstrated better sensitivity by detecting MRD in certain samples missed by qPCR.
