This week, our team in Germering, Germany gave U.S. Consul General Timothy Liston a first-hand look into how we fulfill our mission through our products and services and our commitment to environmental stewardship. Thermo Fisher leaders shared how this site supports our customers with everything from drug discovery to food and beverage testing and manufacturing to environmental and industrial testing. The team also discussed how the Germering site is a leading example of our net-zero efforts by being a fossil fuel free facility operating on 100% renewable electricity.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is our longtime partner in nurturing a STEM workforce that reflects the diversity of the world around us. In celebration of National Boys & Girls Club Week and BGC Great Futures Day, we co-hosted Blast Off to Great Futures: Space Bound, Safe and Sound, an out-of-this-world STEM education event for Club kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania. Special thanks to our colleague volunteers for guiding Club kids through the activities, and to the Carnegie Science Center  for the inspiring content and facilitation.
