2degrees is a full service telecommunications provider. We launched in 2009, significantly lowering the cost of mobile for Kiwis, but we've actually been around a little while longer.

Back in the 90s a visionary group of Maori challenged the crown through the Treaty of Waitangi and won the rights to 3G spectrum. Despite financial and regulatory adversity a Maori Trust (Hautaki) was established with the challenge of launching New Zealand’s third mobile network. 

Since then, we’ve been busy. We have built a brand new mobile network, helping us to cover 98.5% of the places Kiwis live and work. In March 2015 we also acquired NZ's fourth largest ISP (Snap), and now offer internet services as well as mobile to Kiwis across the country.

We all really believe in what we are trying to accomplish for our customers and New Zealand. We’ve even been lucky enough to be recognised for it along the way, with a number of awards for our customer service over the years.

This morning, we partnered with Trans - Tasman Business Circle and the NZ Super Rugby Clubs to discuss the topic of ‘Transforming the Game: Rugby’s Journey Towards Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact’.

Thanks to our panel Kereyn Smith, Former VP Commonwealth Sport and CEO on the NZOC; Avan Lee, CEO of Hurricanes Rugby Club; Andrew Hore, CEO of Blues Ruby Club; Simon Graafhuis, CEO of Chiefs Rugby Club; Roger Clark, CEO of Highlanders Rugby Club; Colin Mansbridge, CEO of Crusaders Rugby Club for sharing their views on the future of rugby, what they’re doing to expand its reach and how they are promoting diversity and inclusion within their clubs. 

Driving New Zealand’s digital economy is something the 2degrees team is incredibly passionate about. 
 
Members of our executive team, Andrew Fairgray, Stephen Kurzeja and  Adrian Dick were privileged to be invited to work with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and other business leaders on the Tech City Aotearoa report, which looks at how we can make Auckland a Global Tech Hub.

Good Tings is all about helping kids and their caregivers to have constructive and open conversations around online safety when receiving their first phone. It turns the phone unboxing experience into a fun, engaging opportunity to set boundaries together and go over resources developed with Netsafe New Zealand endorsement.

As well as being shortlisted as finalists in Design: Consumer Goods and Outdoor: Promotional, we were awarded Silver in Health & Wellness: Brand-led Education and Awareness and Bronze in both Brand Experience & Activation: Integrated Campaign and Direct: Small Scale Media Targeting.

During the month of Ramadhan we take time to ensure we support our Muslim staff and their community. 

Our Muslim 2degrees group put together a video on what Ramadhan means to them - it’s a time of patience, sympathy, love, forgiveness, kindness, and giving to those who are in need!
