📚 When the author met the illustrator ✏️ Last weekend, at her book signing event for Lisa Carrington Chases a Champion and Ko Lisa Carrington me te Toa Whakaihuwaka at Whitcoulls Sylvia Park in Tāmaki Makaurau, Dame Lisa Carrington got to meet so many people – fans, aspiring athletes, whānau … and the illustrator of her books, Scott Pearson! With Scott being based in Waikato and Dame Lisa being the legend she is and travelling for her mahi, they never actually had a chance to meet before the books were published. Instead, our design team at HUIA were the match-makers and paired Dame Lisa’s ideas and values with Scott’s skill and vision to create a beautifully energetic picture book that embodies Dame Lisa’s resilience and perseverance. 🥇 🥇

Māori Language Week: First EV Charging in Te Reo Māori Thundergrid | A Landis+Gyr Company enables the first public EV charger in te reo Māori at Sustainability Trust New Zealand in Wellington. The Thundergrid network has proudly introduced its first EV chargers equipped with Māori language support. This significant milestone marks the successful completion of a long-term collaborative project between Transpower New Zealand , Ngati Tahu-Ngati Whaoa Runanga Trust, Huia Publishers , Te Taura Whiri i Te Reo Māori (the Māori Language Commission), and the initial users.
