Assuring the quality of health sciences education since 1984. | The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is a programmatic postsecondary accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and carries out its accrediting activities in cooperation with 25 review committees (Committees on Accreditation). CAAHEP currently accredits over 2600 entry-level education programs in 31 health science professions.

At its November meeting, the CAAHEP Board of Directors elected Jenna LeBlanc as Secretary of the Board. Jenna represents the Cytology Programs Review Committee on the Commission. Congratulations!

There is a new CAAHEP records update project in the works. The Board of Directors recently approved new policies improving the alignment of CAAHEP accreditation records. Between November 2024 and February 2025, accredited programs will be contacted with information about the update, including dates of informational webinars, and will receive an emailed request to assist in updating the CAAHEP records.
