It’s official! Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency granted Climate United its $6.97 billion award from the National Clean Investment Fund. We’re ready to deliver on the law’s promise to build cleaner, more sustainable economies.

With this funding under our belt, we are hitting the ground running and financing clean energy projects that will not only deliver cleaner air, quality jobs, and lower energy bills to American families — but also drive new capital into traditionally underserved communities for years to come. We’re grateful to our incredible network of partners who will ensure that these funds make it to every corner of the U.S. and its territories, including all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico as well as many Tribal Lands. Calvert Impact’s Krystal Langholz was included on Tribal Business News' list of five leaders ready to transform clean energy finance in Indian Country for her work with Climate United to improve Native access to credit.

We recently announced our new #SmallBusiness program, Access by Calvert Impact. Access is a national program focused on increasing access to credit for small businesses and access to capital markets for community lenders.  

The program is currently live and administering SSBCI-supported Loan Participation Programs in four states: Nevada, Washington, New York, and New Jersey.  

In Las Vegas, Zain Burke, CEO and owner of Validity Construction Services, is using a loan from the Nevada Battle Born Growth Microloan Program (BBGMP) to grow his business. He was in search of a loan to help the business expand into the government sector and the BBGMP was the right fit.  

Burke said, ‘Know your numbers. If you know you want to grow, just try, and someone will be there to support you every step of the way.
