The end of October and beginning of November bring a group of holidays that focus on remembering and honoring those that have died as well as different perspectives on the afterlife and the occult. However, it's important to remember that even though these holidays share a lot, they also have distinct cultural, and potentially religious, differences. For example, Dia De Los Muertos is NOT "Mexican Halloween," and All Saints' Day may be a day off in some countries, but All Souls' Day is generally not. We've provided a handy guide outlining some of the basic differences among the various holidays that occur between October 31st and November 2nd. Please keep in mind that this is not a definitive source and that, even among celebrations of the same holiday, there are many variations depending on the culture or religion of those observing. Separate from #PrideMonth , which is intended to celebrate and uplift the #LGBTQ + community of today (while acknowledging its roots), LGBTQ History Month is meant specifically to recognize the accomplishments of #LGBTQicons throughout history.
