We welcome Stanislav Edward Shmelev, MA, PhD, EMBA as a new member of The Club of Rome. Stanislav is an ecological economist with a career spanning over 20 years, focusing on pressing global challenges such as climate change, renewable energy, and urban sustainability. Based in Oxford, he is the founder and CEO of ENVIRONMENT EUROPE LIMITED , where he has pioneered innovative sustainability assessment methods and developed a unique executive education programme in ecological economics and sustainability, training professionals from over 60 countries. Stanislav’s contributions to the interdisciplinary field of ecological economics include work on macroeconomic sustainability, circular economy, biodiversity, and decarbonisation strategies. He has authored and edited several volumes, including Ecological Economics: Sustainability in Practice and Green Economy Reader, and his research has been published in leading academic journals. As a Visiting Professor, consultant to international organisations, and a renowned artist, Shmelev brings a unique blend of science and creativity to his work. She is a faculty member of Ubiquity University , HUMANITY'S TEAM and the California Institute of Integral Studies, and previously a senior business leader in the UK. Her extensive experience and knowledge of world events, systems and trends has led her to speak widely regarding transformational reforms. She is a life-long researcher into the nature of reality and her books include “The Cosmic Hologram: In-formation at the Center of Creation” and “The Story of Gaia: The Big Breath and the Evolutionary Journey of our Conscious Planet”. We are delighted to welcome Ken Alabi, Ph.D M.CAE as an associate member of The Club of Rome. Ken is a technologist and expert in financial systems technology. He is a member of the non-profit TóróNet Association and co-founder of TóróNet, an open fintech platform designed for fostering financial inclusion in underbanked communities in Africa. Alabi is an accomplished researcher with work spanning the fields of engineering, economics, blockchains and machine learning. He was previously a process and technology consultant at Accenture, and a lecturer at the State University of New York. He has also led a World Bank project on process improvements in the government sector in Africa and has participated in technology and process improvements in several African universities.
