It was great to catch up with Bloomberg News ' Paul Sweeney and David Gura to offer my thoughts on the state of the commercial real estate finance market. As I mentioned in my interview, underwriting of commercial property debt has been conservative and leverage is down but we’ll see some rough patches in the office sector with properties that saw a decline in occupancy rates. At the same time, the Fed’s interest rate cut last month lightened the spirits of the market and allows borrowers to refinance well-performing assets.
