The Dallas Foundation, established in 1929, is a community foundation in Texas that focuses on philanthropy for Dallas. The Dallas Foundation supports various initiatives including early childhood development, infrastructure projects, and urban farming.

Established in 1929, The Dallas Foundation is Texas’ oldest community foundation. The Dallas Foundation serves as a resource, leader and catalyst for philanthropy by providing donors with a flexible means of making gifts to charitable causes that enhance our community and beyond. 

The Dallas Foundation gives donors a means to carry out their philanthropic vision. We help professional advisors address their clients’ needs and goals. We also identify community needs and bring together intellectual and financial resources to address them.

The Dallas Foundation awards grants for a broad array of charitable purposes in the areas of the arts, education, early childhood development, environment, health, aging, human and social services, and public/civic benefit that improve the well-being of the residents of North Texas and beyond.

Abide Women’s Health Services provides supportive pregnancy care to combat disparities in Black maternal and infant health. We are grateful for all that they do to provide healthcare services and education to women and children in our communities.

Another great learning opportunity with The Dallas Foundation! Our fund holders and team members were excited to learn about Big Thought and the power of creativity.

Big Thought is a national leader in arts education, out-of-school time programming, social emotional learning, youth justice, and learning systems. For over three decades, Big Thought has been empowering and equipping youth with the skills and tools to create their best lives and a better world. 
From after-school initiatives that spark creativity to year-round programs that cultivate critical thinking, they create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire youth to explore their passions and discover their true capabilities.

Big Thought unlocks creative potential so all youth can realize their inner greatness.

Recently, our TDF team had the pleasure of volunteering with Rainbow Days, Inc. at their Back to School Fair, helping at-risk and homeless youth in Dallas get the resources they need to be successful for the school year. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support their impactful work, as well as the many other organizations we work with throughout the year.
