DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group is an industry association that advocates and promotes entertainment platforms, products and distribution channels, on behalf of motion picture, music, consumer electronics and technologies companies.  Initiatives include Blu-ray Disc, UltraViolet, 4K television, and Digital Data Tracking.

Big thanks to Director Jason Spivak of Sony Pictures Entertainment for hosting DEG Members on Thursday on the Sony lot as part of our Breakfast with the Board series. The informal discussion over breakfast covered topics ranging from licensing and windowing strategies to IP sourcing and the stability of transactional home entertainment formats in a world of subscription and ad-supported service growth.
